Frantz TP Elements
December 22, 2009
Hello everyone. There have been some changes in the Frantz Filters you should be aware of. First, the typical Frantz TP elements most of you are aware of have been discontinued due to the manufacturer refusing to deliver quantities less than a trainload at a time. We simply don't have the resources to store that much toilet paper. Sorry.
In an attempt to continue to provide the proper toilet paper elements for our customers, we have developed a machined-metal sleeve adapter that will slip down over the Frantz filter base metal tube and allow a snug fit of the cardboard core from the toilet paper. This will allow janitorial-quality toilet paper to be used from your local janitorial bath tissue supplier.
You will still need to be mindful of the size of the TP roll however. The width of the roll cannot be more than 4.25" tall measured as if sitting on a table. The diameter needs to be 4" and most TP is larger than that so you will need to simply unwind some turns until it is the correct diameter to fit inside the Frantz canister. This will differ from brand to brand.
As an alternative, I am using the NiBroc #11014 brand toilet paper which is within our acceptable quality limits. The more dense or heavier the roll the better. Of course you do not want a toilet paper with fluff or perfumes added otherwise you may experience channeling in the paper. The NiBroc paper is available from me at only $2 per roll plus shipping.
Frantz keeps improving all the time to make your oil filtration as easy and efficient as possible.
