New product rumor
April 13, 2009
First, I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend.
There's been a lot of talk around the block lately of a rumor that Frantz is about to come out with a brand new product. As you know, Frantz has, for years, been producing filters for oil, diesel, gasoline, transmission fluid, and hydraulic oil. Synthetic oils can also be included in this collection. Of course, with the sale of filters also comes the service of the product with consummable items such as large square outer gaskets, filter elements (TP), and other parts as needed. Upgrades to your older unit is also possible with the introduction of the "T"-bolt and knob clamp which the new models have and the elimination of the center gasket seal with a new design center collar. They are easy to install and brings your filter up to current standards.
Some people also wish to embellish their cannisters with a chrome or new brushed stainless steel one to replace their dented, dirty, or possibly rusted cannister of yesteryear. New hoses and hose fittings are another servicable item which Frantz is happy to supply you. Remember, you cannot use air hose; you must use fuel line hose or hydraulic hose that protects deterioration from heat and/or oil.
So what's all this then about a new product rumor? Well, I can say I have also heard it and I believe it is just around the corner. I am unable to discuss exactly what it is right now but it is a BIG improvement and will open up an entirely new market. Whether you operate a magnum truck, tractor, heavy equipment, tractor-trailer rig, large boat, or a good size generator this item may be just what you need.
Some of my customers use multiple Frantz oil filters in parallel for more flow or large quantities of oil filtration. I have photos I can share if you contact me. Frantz has always been "GREEN" and is happy to encourage others to join the "Going Green" movement. Why waste oil by changing it? Why not simply CLEAN IT? As we have said many times, oil does not go bad it simply gets dirty. Dirty oil is bad. How do you solve that problem? Why you simply clean it. If your windows get dirty you don't toss them away and reinstall new ones. You clean them. The same goes with oil. If you keep your oil clean with regular changes in TP elements you have no need to discard perfectly good oil.
Also, don't forget that black oil is not necessarily dirty oil. If you heat up a new quart of engine oil right out of the container on a BBQ or stove top in a safe container it will turn black. You haven't introduced any dirt to the oil; it simply changed color because the additives in the oil react to the heat (and friction in an engine) and it changes color. Sometimes it's gray and not black. Either way, it's not dirty. The same thing when you look at your dipstick. If it's black, it may not be dirty. How do you know if it is? Well, you have your oil evaluated in a lab ($20+) or you change the TP element regularly and then you know it's clean.
Right now I am offering a special on replacement Frantz TP elements. A typical one year supply is abot 4 rolls if you change the filter every three months or roughly every 3,000 miles. I have a 4-pak of FRANTZ toilet paper on sale for $9.99 plus postage. As you know, FRANTZ TP is exactly the right dimensions with regard to height, diameter, cardboard diameter, density, and quality. Some people experiment with other brands from their local grocery store and are disappointed. That's because those brands are wound loosly, contain lots of air (for comfort), or lack sufficient paper density. Also, a marketing technique is to wind the paper on a larger diameter center cardboard therefore less TP is available. All these are warning signs and are eliminated by using FRANTZ TP. If you need a year supply of 4-rolls, just write or call me and I can ship immediately. I carry a full inventory of supplies for you.
