As an addendum to my last post, if someone in the Washington, DC area, or within a reasonable travel distance, sells and installs (especially installs) the Frantz Oil Filter please leave a posting on this site, I'll check back or reach me on Facebook. Thanks.

Around 1973 I bought my first new car, a Dodge Dart Sport, and in Glen Ellyn, Illinois I met a "franchisee" who sold and installed the Frantz Oil Filter for about $50/total. What a great deal it turned out to be! That filter went through about three new cars, much to the chagrin of dealerships and auto repair "experts." Unfortunately I've yet to find someone competent to install that same filter, but I'll keep it until I do (I won't even attempt to do that sort of thing). I only hope one day the good folks at Frantz will return to this "franchisee" business with personnel who know what they're selling and installing for folks like myself. BTW, back then Frantz provided literature that included a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that the Frantz Oil Filter was safe for airplane usage. That statement sold me on buying, its reliability made me a true believer!

Many years ago, a friend installed Frantz Filter in a poorly running 1963 Impala that had been parked for a long time. With nothing more than the filter installation, the car gradually ran better and better. Within a few thousand miles, she ran and continues to run like a top over 40 years later. I have used one in all my 4X4 vehicles since the early 70's with exceptional results.

I am installing my frantz, the same one I've had since 1977, on my 1967 Olds Cutlass conv Gasser with a 455. It is one of many interesting old pieces that people ask about. people get a kick out of it. After explaining what it is they always say "thats a good idea". Thank you for such a great product.

Looking at using a Frantz by pass filter on my Ford Diesel 6.0L pickup. Maybe I'll use amsoil and between the two, it will last forever. Keep up the good work.

I remember FRANTZ Filters from the days when they were available through the JCW catalog. Now, I'm glad to see that they are still available. I have a FRANTZ Transmission filter and ready to install an engine bypass kit too. THANKS!

I have been using and selling the Frantz oil filters since 1968. I am retired now and used to have a booth at the Orange Show in San Bernardino in Sourthern Califorina. I did a demo machine with lamp black fluid and would get around 300 deposits for each year of the show. I still have that machine. Thanks for having the "O" rings for my filters that I still have from those years. I swap them from car to car after having 250,000 thousand miles on them. I am just running oil on my Town and Country now.

Thank you

I have a 1976 Ford F-250 pickup with a modified 1963 406HP engine. I installed the Frantz Oil Cleaner in 1978 and have used it with synthetic oil ever since. I have in excess of 250,000 miles on the vehicles and have yet to replace rings or bearings. The oil pressure is still as high as when I installed the engine in 1978. People laugh when I show them my "Charmin" TP oil filter/cleaner. The Frantz Oil Cleaner is undoubtedly the best engine oil filtration system available.

Your product is great! - but overpriced. Your adapter that screws into the stock oil filter receptacle on the engine is terribly overpriced at $69.00. I am not cheap and can most buy anything but cannot bring myself to buy your products. I have your NOS parts on 3 of my 10 classic Jeeps.

As your site says the filters I have are ones my granddpa, dad and I have used since the 60's. I have a few from when he was a dealer in them and am adding them to my 06 Dodge Cummins (already on my off-road truck). A few guys have pulled these off thinking they were "old technology" and therefore not worth the effort... Grandpa ran 160,000 miles on his Oldsmobile without changing the oil and the analysis still showed good oil - the car ran excellent after being used to tow a 24' travel trailer for years. Good stuff. This "old technology" still sets a standard the "new" can't beat!

It is amazing to me after 40 years qr so that Franz is still tickin'. Like the energizer bunny, Franz is still cleaning oil just like it did then. I am an aircraft mechanic by trade and I believe it was used on general aircraft. Stainless braided lines are used, "AN" fitting are used instead of "street L's", but the general idea is a good sound practical use of keeping aircraft engine oil clean. If my memory serves me I do believe that cooling fins were used for cooling. I just retired in 2003, but before I left, a fellow employee sold me 3 brand new "old" units. Keep up the tradition, I'm putting one on my 08 Colorado 4 cylinder. Mike Festa Sr.

I passed the first 10.000km this week with my first "FRANTZ" on my "Citroen Jumpy Diesel" and I am sure it will protect my engine the next ... let's say: 100.000km, too! :-)

Ed supported me very well and I am very glad to bring the "FRANTZ" to Europe/resp. Germany within the next few weeks!
